Help your patients lose the smoker in them

Smoking is the single most preventable cause of serious ill-health and premature death,* and smoking cessation is your best opportunity to improve the long-term health of your patients that smoke.

Pfizer has developed the ‘Lose the smoker’ campaign to encourage smokers who are serious about quitting to visit their doctor to find out what options are available to help them quit. The campaign includes advertising, a website, and leaflets and posters for your practice.

The ‘Lose the smoker’ website is designed to help smokers identify their addiction level using the Fagerström Test for nicotine dependence, profile their smoking history and habits and determine their level of motivation to quit smoking. This information is compiled into a ‘quit profile’ which is designed to help the smoker when they discuss quitting with their doctor.

By understanding all about them as a smoker, you’ll be able to recommend an option that suits them. Your help and support will give them the best chance of quit success.
